I love you, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Reading the Psalms, it’s clear that David’s comfort truly came from the Lord. He always turned first to God when he was in trouble and there found refuge. It’s a good reminder that this is what we should do with our own struggles, even when they seem small and unimportant. Whatever the problem, if we turn to the Lord, he will take us under the shadow of his wing, bringing us peace and comfort. We don’t need to wrestle through our problems on our own.
