Thus faith rouseth the Christian out of his amazed thoughts upon which his troubled spirit dwells like one destitute of council, not knowing what to do; and turns his bootless complaints, wherein he must necessarily pine and starve, into fervent prayer for the grace he wants…. Sit not here languishing in a sluggish despondency, but get you down upon your knees, and humbly, but valiantly, besiege the throne of grace for grace in this time of need.

As Christians, we all know what it feels like to be in the valley. Maybe our prayer life isn’t as strong as it once was, we are becoming weak to temptations, or we don’t feel that we are fearing God as we should. We moan “I wish I could be better about reading my Bible.”
Wishing and wanting won’t get you anywhere!
Faith will lead you to where these graces may be found, which is at the foot of Christ’s throne. Turn your moans into passionate prayers. God tells us in his word that he will give us these things if we only have the faith to ask for them.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7)
Don’t just murmur and bellyache about your sad state.
BESIEGE THE THRONE OF GRACE!
