for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

There is a lot of bad doctrine out there today. How will you discern between the good and bad if you aren’t regularly studying the Word? False teaching is creeping into our churches and infecting them like a virus; it’s met with little resistance because many congregations are full of infants living on milk. We are at war, and Satan’s hordes are not infants! We need an army of capable men and women to fight this epidemic of error. Pick up your Bible and read it daily like a soldier training with his sword. And if you are already in the Word daily, this is an encouragement to persevere!
