Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a plumber, a programmer, a janitor, or a doctor; whatever you do, do it for the Lord. Sometimes it’s hard to see how you can serve the Kingdom in your career, but remember that God put you where you are for a reason. Your call might be as simple as bringing a positive attitude to your workplace and being a light in an otherwise dark place. Don’t work primarily to please a boss or supervisor, but work to please God. He sees your efforts, even if man doesn’t acknowledge them.
