Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.

We live in a world of relativity, where there is no absolute truth, and everything depends on “your truth” and “your lived experience.” This egotistical culture tells us we must trust ourselves. I don’t know about you, but I know that “myself” cannot be trusted. My feelings change like the wind, and my sinful nature, egged on by Satan, skews my judgment. You have to see this advice for the wicked deception it is. God is eternal, unchanging, and absolute and only wants what is best for you. Don’t trust yourself; trust God.
